Before
A flat-topped single story building, formerly
a butcher shop and small town market, was being used by the current
owner as corporate headquarters for a growing lumber company. The brick
building had deteriorated and the owner needed extra space to accommodate
the thriving business. The challenge was to blend the new structure
in with the surrounding residential area, which was comprised of turn-of-the-century
homes.
After
The building was stripped inside and out to prepare
for updating electrical, mechanical, plumbing and remodeling. The expansion
added a second story with large dormers and insulated the entire structure.
The second story space features additional office space and a large
conference/training room. The exterior of the building was covered in
top-of-the-line, low maintenance materials in colors and styles that
complement nearby homes.
