Before — This project was at the home of a good friend and landscape architect, with whom we were doing several decks, fences and other outdoor construction jobs. He wanted to replace a small unusable deck space in his back yard in Maplewood. Our client was interested in creating a deck that could serve as outdoor artwork and a conversation piece.

After — We built this customized deck to provide access to the backyard swimming pool and entertainment area. The yard features a multi-level outdoor space that includes a conversation area, a cooking space, and a more private sunning area. The new deck successfully integrates the house with the backyard amenities and helps create a pleasing, natural flow and a comfortable outdoor environment.
